ART WITH ENECO CLEAN BEACH CUP TRASH

This year, we decided to do something more with the trash. Other than the usual recycling efforts we do in collaboration with Renewi to ensure a complete and extensive recycling and re-use of the collected trash. This time around we wanted to get a bit more creative, so we kept a portion of the trash for ourselves and decided to get to work!

We contacted none other than Ap Esenbrink. He studied at the AKI Art Academy, has since worked on quite a few different projects and already made a whole series of ‘objects’. There is no better description for it and the collection was therefore named Objekts. Ap added a new piece to his collection using a pile of plastic and other waste taken from the beaches during the Eneco Clean Beach Cup.


Proving once again that so much more can be done with waste than leaving it lying around in nature. Many things that are thrown away do not decompose and continue to harm people, animals and plants for years. By getting creative with waste, we hope to reinforce our message that the waste problem is bigger than people think.
